Diathermy is the capacitor effect produced by a system of Capacitive and Resistive Electrical Transfer (T.E.C.A.R.) that consists of physiological activation from within the tissue through two fundamental actions: rebalancing and regeneration.
The process is achieved through a device that generates electromagnetic waves sent to the patient through electrodes.

Medestec Deep Diathermy
Diathermy should not be confused with classic and conventional thermotherapy such as infrared and microwave that also heat the superficial tissues, which can sometimes cause burns.
